Donations sought for kitten with eye infection
DANVILLE — Trina, a gray calico kitten, and her mother were abandoned on a doorstep.
Trina’s eyes had an infection caused from feline rhinotracheitis, and because it was not treated and left go so long, the infection is out of control. Trina needs to have both eyes removed. Veterinarians are optimistic about her prognosis because she is so young and is a fighter, according to Cyndi Lindenmuth, of the no-kill Animal Resource Center rescue organization.
The surgery will cost $600 to $700. “We really think she is worth saving and would be ever so grateful for any donations we receive,” she said.
“The vet has told us blind animals fare well. She’s already blind and seems to be very sweet and happy,” she said.
Trina and her mother, who hasn’t been named, also need homes.
Donations may be sent to the Animal Resource Center, 301A Boone Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
