Woman, daughter killed in kitchen fire

— WILBURTON NO. 2 -- A woman and her daughter will killed Friday during an accidental fire in the kitchen of their home.
Bloomsburg State Police said Minnie A. Brassington, 84, and Gloria J. Brassington, 52, were killed during a fire around 12:40 p.m. at their 440 Main St. home.
Police said the fire engulfed the kitchen and lower level of the residence and trapped the two women inside.
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigators and Fire Marshals determined the fire originated near the stove and appears to be accidental in nature.
The investigation is continuing.
The Aristes and Wilburton fire departments responded to the scene.
