SHAMOKIN DAM -- The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the list of area high school students named Young Americans for January.
Each month, the chamber recognizes students from participating schools for academic and community achievements.
Throughout the following month, The Daily Item will publish photos of each Young American along with information on their school activities, achievements, community involvement and interests.
Young Americans for January are:
Danville: Joel Holmes, son of Bryan and Beth Holmes, of Danville.
Lewisburg: Kristen Berger, daughter of Debbie Stiber and Mark Berger, of Lewisburg.
Line Mountain: Amanda Fremlin, daughter of Lynne Renn, of Trevorton.
Midd-West: Deana Naugle, daughter of Daniel and Deborah Naugle, of Kreamer.
Mifflinburg: Joseph Kahl, son of Allen and Cheryl Kahl, of New Berlin.
Northumberland Christian School: Julianna Jablonski, daughter of Steven and Pamela Jablonski, of Milton.
Selinsgrove: Philip John Adam Jr., son of Phil and Teri Adam, of Mount Pleasant Mills.
Shikellamy: Nicco Dalpiaz, son of Charles and Lind Dalpiaz, of Sunbury.
SUN Area Career & Technology Center: Amanda Houdeshell, daughter of Ben and Brenda Houdeshell, of Mifflinburg.
