Chamber honors Young Americans

SHAMOKIN DAM -- The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the list of area high school students named as Young Americans for February.
Each month, the chamber recognizes students from participating schools for academic and community achievements.
Throughout the following month, The Daily Item will publish photos of each Young American along with information on their school activities, achievements, community involvement and interests.
Young Americans for February are:
-- Danville: Mark Horvath, the son of Charles Horvath of Danville, and the late Kathy Horvath
-- Lewisburg: Alexander Ororbia II, the son of Alexander and Cheryl Ororbia of Lewisburg
-- Line Mountain: Adam Menko, the son of Michael and Jeanne Menko of Trevorton
-- Meadowbrook Christian Academy: Kendra Rehm, the daughter of Brian and Lynn Rehm of Lewisburg
-- Midd-West: Kayla DeMar, the daughter of Darrell and Kathy DeMar of Middleburg
-- Mifflinburg: Jennifer Mapes, the daughter of Mark and Sue Mapes of Mifflinburg
-- Northumberland Christian School: Emily Lloyd, the daughter of David and Wendy Lloyd of Northumberland
-- Selinsgrove: Madeline Ede, the daughter of Richard Ede of Winfield and Karin Ede of Shamokin Dam
-- Shikellamy: George Specht, the son of Jeff and Kath Specht of Northumberland
-- SUN Area Career & Technology Center: Heather Ferguson, the daughter of Chad and Michelle Strauser of Sunbury
-- Sunbury Christian Academy: Kellie Rothermel, the daughter of Barry and Teresa Rothermel of Mifflinburg
