TREVORTON — A 9-year old boy was injured after being hit by a car on Route 225 in the village Sunday morning, with the impact throwing him 25 feet.
Bailey M. Marcheski, of Kulpmont, ran into the path of a 2006 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Andrew R. Schwalm, 52, of Herndon, state police at Stonington said.
Schwalm, driving on Route 225, just east of South Seventh Street at 11:35 a.m., was unable to stop his car in time and struck the boy, police said.
No charges were filed.
Marcheski was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with what police described as moderate injuries.
By Monday, the hospital no longer listed Marcheski. “He may have been treated, stayed overnight, and released,” said a nursing supervisor.
