DANVILLE -- About 600 Geisinger employees will work at a $20 million office building planned for Buckhorn near the Interstate 80 interchange, a health system official said Wednesday.
Kevin Brennan, Geisinger's executive vice president and chief financial officer, said health system officials have approved the building of a three-story, 90,000-square-foot facility to house non acute-care staff.
Brennan said some of his support staff may be the first to relocate from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
"We're working to get more people off campus, so we can expand our critical care delivery," Brennan said. "We should be building soon now that we got approval."
The office building is planned to be built next to the Cracker Barrel restaurant along Route 42 in Columbia County.
