Herndon woman injured in wreck

— URBAN — A Herndon woman who police said wasn’t wearing her seat belt had to be flown to the hospital after she crashed her sport-utility vehicle Thursday night.
Barbara Jeffries, 1624 Urban Road, was driving west on Urban Road in Jordan Township, Northumberland County, around 8:11 p.m. when she left the road and rolled her Ford Escape in a pasture, Stonington State Police said.
She sustained serious injuries and was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center. A nursing supervisor at the hospital said he could not provide Jeffries’ condition Friday night.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Klingertown Fire Company.
