Man charged with assault



SUNBURY — City police arrested a 22-year-old Shamokin man for allegedly assaulting a woman in front of her 2-year-old daughter.

Joel Adam Finfinger, of 10 N. Marshall St., Shamokin, was jailed in lieu of $50,000 cash bail for choking and punching Tiffinie Lynn Ross and pushing her off a chair during an argument Sunday at 614 1/2 Masser St., Sunbury, city police said.

The incident took place in front of Ross’s child, police said.

Finfinger was arraigned on simple assault and harassment charges before District Judge Robert J. Bolton.
