MIDDLEBURG — An 18-year-old Selinsgrove woman will serve about six months in Snyder County Prison for stabbing a female rival over a young man’s affections last fall.
Fendi T. Thompson, of 1 18th St., Selinsgrove, pleaded guilty in May to felony second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing Brittany D. Selleck, 17, in the head and wrist with a boxcutter in Selinsgrove on Sept. 28.
In the days prior to the assault, Selleck said they had argued about a boy and Thompson threatened to cut her throat.
Thompson was 17 at the time of the attack, but faced attempted homicide and related charges in adult court.
Represented by attorney Stephen Becker, of Lewisburg, she was sentenced Thursday afternoon by President Judge Harold F. Woelfel Jr. to serve six months to 23 months in county jail followed by eight years of probation.
Thompson has already spent 23 days in jail.
