Police close in on vandals

DANVILLE — By the end of the week, Danville police will make arrests in the recent vandalism involving graffiti on buildings and vehicles.

Borough Police Chief Eric Gill told the Borough Council on Tuesday that arrests should be done by Friday, and he praised the work of Patrolman Joseph Eister.

“He put his nose to the ground,” Gill said, adding that Eister has really worked at getting the arrests completed.

On Monday, symbols and words were found painted on the Doctor’s Inn Bed and Breakfast, Cole’s Hardware Store, the Danville Middle School, Danville Elementary School and the Verizon building. Two vehicles also were sprayed.
