WATSONTOWN -- A 27-year-old escapee from a state correctional facility remains in Northumberland County Prison after Watsontown Police discovered him hiding in a Main Street apartment.
Robert E. Hines, whose last known address was Harrisburg, escaped from a halfway house in June, Police Chief Dennis Derr said on Friday, and had been staying at the apartment of Yvonne Harnden, 44, and Holly Harnden, 18, for days prior to the arrest.
A warrant was issued on Hines by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for a parole violation.
Court records show Hines pleaded guilty to three counts of felony burglary in July 2005.
Yvonne Harnden remains in Snyder County Prison and Holly Harnden remains in Northumberland County Prison, both charged with two counts each of hindering the apprehension and prosecution of another.
Both women have a preliminary hearing set for Thursday.
Derr said police believe the women are connected to the investigation of a home invasion that took place Tuesday, in which two men entered a Main Street home with a gun and knives.
He added police are continuing investigations and expect to soon begin making arrests in that incident.
