Visitors to the car show sponsored by Susquehanna Valley CARTS on Sunday afternoon in Milton will see 150 or more hot rods, antique and classic vehicles. At 4 p.m., drivers may take part in a car cruise through the area, followed by a block dance with live music at 5 p.m. The car show and dance, the traditional end of the Milton Harvest Festival, takes place in the municipal parking lot on Bound Avenue from 3-8 p.m.

It looks like Sunday will be a perfect day for a ride in the country, and Susquehanna Valley CARTS is holding its fifth annual Harvest Festival Car Cruise and block dance on Sunday.

For the past five years, the cruise-in and block dance have been the concluding event of the week-long Milton Harvest Festival.

“Fill up your gas tank, dust off your car and join the cruise,” said Kitty Hummel, CARTS president.

Cruisers will gather at the municipal parking lot on Bound Avenue at 3, and the cruise will move out at 4 sharp, Hummel said.

The cruise will rumble north on Route 405 from Milton to Watsontown to Route 54. It will head east on 54 to Turbotville and Washingtonville. There they will turn right and follow Route 254 back to Milton.

“We hope people will come out and see the vehicles as they pass through their communities,” Hummel said.

The club often has more than 150 cars take part in their monthly cruises, and they hope for even more for the Harvest Festival Cruise.

The cruise will wind up at the starting point around 5 p.m., Hummel said.

The block dance starts when the cruise-in ends, featuring the local band Back Roadz, playing a variety rock and roll classics. The block dance will also include a trivia contest and 50-50 drawings.
