Some of the pork U.S. Rep. Chris Carney, a Democrat from Dimock, has secured for the 10th Congressional District since taking office in January 2007:
-- Beaver Springs, Snyder County: $399,500 to support children’s programs at the Middlecreek Area Community Center.
-- Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Union County: $195,000 for the school’s environmental center.
-- Geisinger Health System, Danville: $165,000 for construction and equipment.
-- YWCA of North-Central Pennsylvania, Williamsport, Lycoming County: $103,400 for a child advocacy program.
-- Community Alliance for Progressive Positive Action, Williamsport: $272,500 for gang violence prevention and academic enrichment.
-- Lycoming County Department of Planning and Community Development: $500,000 for the regional water system at Muncy Industrial Park that will assist in the creation of an estimated 4,000 jobs.
-- Church Street Transportation Center, Williamsport: $2.4 million for downtown revitalization.
-- Honesdale Readiness Center: $6.11 million for construction and restoration and $504,000 for design.
-- Military spending: $1.6 million for warhead development; $3.2 million for ammunition production base support
