MILTON — A 23-year-old Milton woman, charged with stealing her sister-in-law’s identity, faces additional charges for allegedly stealing a cell phone from her sister-in-law a week later.
Nicole M. Ahearn, of 507 Hepburn St., was charged Oct. 8 with fraud and identity theft by Milton police.
Police said on Oct. 5, she used a credit card belonging to Jocelin Bailey, her sister-in-law, at the Wal-Mart Supercenter near Lewisburg. Bailey told police she realized the card was missing and when called the company discovered it was maxed out.
Police said Ahearn spent $124 and received $60 cash back on Oct. 5 and another $20 later that day. She was caught on surveillance cameras, officers said.
On Oct. 15, Bailey told police she had ordered a cell phone for Ahearn but decided to not give it to her after the credit card incident.
The phone was delivered to her home, and police said Ahearn took it from her doorstep.
Police charged Ahearn with theft by unlawful taking involving the $200 cell phone.
