Danville-Riverside Bridge is now open to traffic



DANVILLE -- The Danville-Riverside Bridge, Route 54 connecting Montour and Northumberland counties, is now open to traffic. It reopened about 5:50 p.m.

The road was closed since early after when an oversized load blocking traffic at the underpass adjacent to the bridge.

A detour was set up with fire police directing traffic.
