One of two oversized loads delayed in Valley on its way today

MONTOURSVILLE -- One of two oversize loads stranded in Montour and Northumberland counties is on its way today, according to Rick Mason, spokesman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transporation.

Mason said repairs were completed today on the oversized load that broke down along Route 54 near Bear Gap in Ralpho Township, Nor thumberland County on Monday.

He said repairs were completed, another truck tractor brought in and the load resumed its travels about noon.

Also, the disabled oversized load that broke down Monday in Danville continues to sit on Front Street, waiting for parts so that it can be repaired.

Those parts are not expected to arrive for a few days. Tentatively, that load is expected to resume its move early next week, Mason said.
