Suspects in drug bust identified



SUNBURY — Twenty-one area residents were arrested Thursday morning in what police called a sweep of low-level drug dealers.

Charges were filed against the following individuals:

*** Michael Whitchsett, 21, of 56 Memorial Acres, Sunbury, with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility. He was arraigned and jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail at Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury.

*** Zachary Oxenrider, 23, 583 Legion Road, Bloomsburg, with two counts each of possession with the intent to deliver heroin, delivery of heroin and criminal use of a communication facility. He was committed to the county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

*** Edward Maines, 20, of 239 N. Water St., Sunbury, Joseph Hanrahan, 23, of 150 1/2 Catawissa Ave., Sunbury, and Jesse Lewis, 25, of 2282 Snydertown Road, Danville, each with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, delivery of heroin, possession of heroin and criminal use of a communications facility. Maines and Hanrahan were jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

*** Justin Bartholomew, 28, of 649 Front St., Northumberland, Nathan Bowersox, 25, of 168 Pioneer St., Kreamer, and Jacob Bergeron, 19, of 459 Deerfield Road, Middleburg, each with possession with the intent to deliver morphine and criminal use of a communications facility. All three were jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail apiece.

*** Casey Kopenhaver, 34, of 551 Kauffman Lane, Northumberland, with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine. He was jailed in lieu of $125,000 cash bail.

*** Brian Betz, 20, of 131, N. 12th St., Sunbury, with four counts of criminal use of a communications facility, one count each of delivery of Oxycontin, criminal conspiracy, possession with the intent to deliver LSD, possession with the intent to deliver mushrooms and possession with the intent to deliver methadone.

*** Kristy Aurand, 21, of 515 N. Third St., Mifflinburg, and her mother, Rose Zechman, 45, of the same address, each with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal use of a communications facility and criminal conspiracy. Both were jailed in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

*** Prenden Heintzelman, 21, of 431 Water St., Northumberland, Kongyea Blay, 46, of 144 N. Fourth St., Sunbury, Colby Bucher, 18, of 201 Walnut St., Sunbury, and Sean Taylor, 40, presently in the Northumberland County Prison on an unrelated charge, each charged with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana. Heintzelman, Bucher and Taylor were each held in lieu of $100,000 bail and Blay’s bail was set at $125,000 cash.

*** Madison Gummel, 20, of 60 Hixon Lane, New Columbia, and Patrick McCaffrey, 19, of 50 Newky Road, New Columbia, each with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and criminal use of a communications facility.

*** Lyndsey Rebuck, 20, of 144 Oak St., Sunbury, with one count each of delivery of heroin and criminal use of a communications facility. She was held in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

*** Jessica Case, 30, of 439 1/2 N. Second St., Sunbury, with possession of Valium. She was released on $20,000 unsecured bail.

*** Amy Gearhart, 344 S. Fourth St., Sunbury, with possession of marijuana. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
