Needy Fund reaches $107,861



SUNBURY — Donations to the Needy Family Fund continue to roll in, bringing the total raised this year to $107,861.

The fund, sponsored by The Daily Item, Sunbury Broadcasting Corp. ad Susquehanna Bank, raised money during the holidays to buy food, clothing and gifts. It is administered by Salvation Army citadels in Milton and Sunbury.

The fund helped nearly 1,000 families this season.

Recent contributions include: St. Luke’s Evan Lutheran Church, Sunbury $100; Karen & Robert Bartholomew of Snydertown $25, Trinity Lutheran Church, Sunbury $71.46.
