LEWISBURG — MIDDLEBURG — A Port Trevorton man accused of molesting two girls over a period of several years was sentenced to up to 23 months in the Snyder County Jail on a plea deal.

Daniel S. Auker, 26, of 2569 Chapman Hollow Road, was arrested in April after authorities discovered he had been inappropriately touching the two girls for years.

He was charged with 90 counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors, but pleaded guilty to one count each of indecent assault and corruption of minors in exchange for all the other felony and misdemeanor charges being withdrawn.

County District Attorney Michael Piecuch said the deal came about in part as a result of the wishes of the victims and their families.

“We took into account their input,” he said.

In exchange for the plea deal, Auker was sentenced to 11 1/2 months to 23 months in the county jail, with credit for time served since his arrest last spring, followed by two years of probation.

“We do agree the plea agreement is appropriate,” Judge Michael T. Hudock said.

In addition to jail and probation, the court ordered Auker to perform 50 hours of community service, complete a sexual offenders program, have no contact with the victims, stay away from children unless authorized by county probation or in the company of another adult and refrain from possessing pornography and viewing television shows or videos that arouse inappropriate behavior toward youth.

Auker, who will be required to register as a sexual offender for 15 years under Megan’s Law, also must take a therapeutic polygraph exam to determine his risk factors.
