HERNDON — St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1473 Urban Road, will host the 21st annual Urban Folk Day from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the church picnic grove. Day begins with breakfast featuring scrapple, potato cakes, and breakfast sandwiches. Lunch menu features three kinds of kettles soups, barbecue, hot dogs, kettle meat, funnel cakes, and baked goods. Homemade apple butter can be purchased by the quart or pint. A Native American camp-out will feature demonstrations of corn grinding and displays of Indian artifacts. Throughout the day, there will be other craftsmen demonstrating rifling a gun barrel, basket weaving, blacksmithing, and homemade soap making. Classic and antique cars and tractors will on display. Free entertainment features Saving Grace from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; Native American Indians, 11 a.m. to noon; and The Morgan Family and Uncle Bean from noon to 1:45 p.m. New this year will be a Chinese auction.
