Bucknell University's Community Harvest feeds 200 each week

MILTON -  Community Harvest is a weekly hot meal program offering food and fellowship to the people of Milton and the surrounding communities.

A team of volunteers from Bucknell University and the community prepares and serves nutritious food to approximately 200 people from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. most Mondays at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St., Milton.

All are welcome to attend regardless of age, income, or religious affiliation.

Donations are accepted to help cover the cost of food. The average weekly cost for the Community Harvest weekly program is $300 — about $2 per person.

Support for Community Harvest comes from Bucknell University, St. Andrew’s Church, Parkhurst Dining Services as well as private donations. Weis Market in Lewisburg also donates baked goods for the meals.
