— The Valley’s two U.S. Representatives will be in the area in the next two days, beginning with Tom Marino’s (R-PA) appearance this afternoon in Selinsgrove.
Lou Barletta (R-PA) will visit Sunbury on Wednesday. All three Valley legislators in Washington – Barletta, Marino and Senator Pat Toomey – are in the area this week. Toomey visited Danville on Monday.
Marino will hold a press conference at 2:30 today at the Selinsgrove Borough Building. He will discuss the Rape Survivor Child Custody Act, introduced earlier this year by Reps. Marino and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL). He will be joined by Snyder County Commissioner Malcolm Derk, a representative from the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and Transitions.
On Wednesday night, Barletta will host a public, town hall meeting beginning at 6 p.m. at the Northumberland County Administration Building.
The meeting is open to the public and free of charge. Constituents are encouraged to attend and learn more about what’s going on in Washington, ask questions, and offer their opinions.
