— Motorists are urged to use caution for the next two weeks in the area of Monday's tanker truck accident near Route 147 and Brush Valley Road.
While the truck has been removed from the scene, the Northumberland County Department of Public Safety said the environmental cleanup team is on site and will remain onsite cleaning up spilled fuel and the contaminated soil. Officials said nearly 3,000 gallons of fuel were lost from the tanker. The caution allows for "mitigation and remediation" to continue on the site for the next few weeks.
