MOUNT CARMEL — The mother of a 5-year-old student suspended from her elementary school in a “Hello Kitty” bubble gun incident says she cannot transfer her daughter to another school because of the blemish on the kindergartner’s record.
While acknowledging that it is legally prohibited from commenting on the specifics of the case, the Mount Carmel School District last week stated that previous reports about the Jan. 10 incident — in which the girl suggested to a friend they shoot each other with the pink plastic gun that dispenses tiny bubbles — “may not be consistent with the facts.”
