State police continue search for armed robbery suspect

— LEWISBURG — The search continues today for a man suspected of armed robbery at a consignment shop in Lewisburg Wednesday afternoon, state police at Milton reported.

State police have received “multiple phone calls” about the male suspect and the incident that took place at the Silver Moon Consignment shop, just off Route 15 north of Lewisburg, Trooper Matt Burrows, a spokesman for the state police at Milton, said.

The suspect — a tall, thin, white male with some facial hair and wearing glasses — allegedly took several antique coins, Burrows said, though it was unclear what specific coins were taken.

Local coin dealers have been advised to be on the watch for anyone looking to deal antique or rare coins, he said.

Store surveillance video shows the suspect parking a silver truck outside the shop and then entering the building.

State police still advise anyone with information about the suspect or incident to call the Milton barracks at (570) 524-2662.
