WATSONTOWN — A borough woman is on the run from police with her boyfriend and 2-year-old child after being charged with 40 felonies that include forgery, identity theft, access device fraud and theft, police said.
Emily E. Fitzgerald, 30, and her boyfriend, Douglas M. Humphries, 33, are believed to have fled the Valley with their child in a red, 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora, with Pennsylvania registration FGH3232, according to police.
Fitzgerald is facing the felony counts after she stole her parents’ identities and opened nine credit-card accounts and attempted to open two others. Fitzgerald charged more than $42,000 over 904 transactions between January and August, police said.
Fitzgerald’s last known address was her parents’ residence in Watsontown, but after leaving the Valley in August, her whereabouts are unknown, police said.
The charges come after a six-week investigation by Watsontown police.
The charges were filed with District Justice Richard Cashman’s office in Milton.
In addition to the felony warrant, Fitzgerald has four other summary bench warrants for her arrest, for offenses such as retail theft and driving with a suspended license, police said. Humphries also has numerous warrants for his arrest.
The couple may be headed toward the Lancaster County area, according to police.
Fitzgerald is described as a white, with brown hair and blue eyes, standing about 5-feet-5 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. Humphries is described as white, with red hair and blue eyes, standing about 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.
