Police say distracted driver caused 2-car crash in Point Township
POINT TWP – Two women were sent to Geisinger Medical Center following a two car crash at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Point Township Drive, just past the Northumberland county line.
Chief Josh Vankirk, of the Point Township Police Department, said both vehicles were traveling at normal speeds but declined to release the names of the two women involved.
Former Sunbury firefighter arrested on theft charges
SUNBURY — A former Sunbury firefighter who was instrumental in helping flood victims during the September 2011 disaster that hit the Valley, and his brother were arrested today after police said the pair stole more than $3,000 from a city fire department.
