TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Paving work set in Union and Snyder counties

LEWISBURG - A more than $500,000 micro-surfacing project on several roads in Snyder and Union counties scheduled to begin Tuesday will affect traffic patterns in some areas and take about a month to complete.

Work will begin on Route 104 from Middleburg to Middleburg Road in Snyder County and continue on Route 104 from Wildwood Road to Red Ridge Road in Union County.

The project will then move to Route 304 from Mifflinburg to New Berlin in Union County and Route 15 from Allenwood to the Union-Lycoming County line.

There will be traffic pattern changes in work zones, with one lane closed and flaggers directing traffic. Delays should be expected.

The contractor of the $558,664 project is Suite-Kote Corp., of Cortland, NY.

The estimated work schedule for each project is as follows: Route 104 will begin Tuesday and be completed by Friday; the Route 304 project will begin Friday and conclude Tuesday, July 1; and the Route 15 work will get underway July 1 and finish July 7.
