Danville Neighborhood Watch group on the move

DANVILL E – With the arrest of a woman for allegedly operating the first discovered methamphetamine laboratory in Danville, the Neighborhood Watch Program plans to hold public awareness meeting led by state, county and local law enforcement officials.

Watch leader David Pebley reported meth labs have resulted in a concerted effort to start or restart Neighborhood Watch programs across the U.S.

Meth is not only being made in homes but in mobile labs in cars, vans and trucks, he said.

The Danville Neighborhood Watch Program is established with members having already called to report suspicious activity which prevented crimes and aided our police force, he said.

The Danville program, covering Danville and surrounding areas, has 98 members.

“If you see something, say something. Dial 911,” he said.

The next Neighborhood Watch meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. April 15 in the council chambers of the Danville Borough Building at 239 Mill St.
