Fire ruins Bradley's Fern Park Restaurant on Susquehanna Trail

TURBOTVILLE — A raging fire badly damaged Bradley’s Fern Park restaurant Monday night, despite the efforts of about 50 firefighters from eight companies.

Flames were shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived, according to Doug Funk, deputy chief of the Warrior Run Area Fire Department. The restaurant at 9175 Susquehanna Trail is near the intersection with Route 54.

“There was heavy fire when we arrived on the scene,” Funk said.

Funk said the business is owned by Sherri and Dan Bradley, who live in the area. Insurance information was unavailable.

Funk said a state police fire marshal will help investigate the cause of the fire today.

The restaurant, which had a bar area and several dining rooms, was closed Monday.

Funk said a firefighter, whom he declined to identify, was injured at the scene and was treated at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg and released.

The call came in about 5:30 and firefighters worked until about 9 o’clock. They used fill sites in Muncy and nearby Tanner’s Pond to bring water to the scene.

Assisting Warrior Run Area were firefighters from Muncy, Milton, White Deer Township, Clinton Township, Hughesville, Washington Township and Washingtonville.
