Rifle-pointing tire-slicer sparked lockdown

A bizarre incident allegedly involving a 37-year-old woman who threatened a 20-year-old man with a rifle and bat before slicing his vehicle tires with a knife Friday afternoon led to a brief lockdown at the Snyder County Courthouse.

Middleburg police said a Port Trevorton woman approached the Mifflintown man as he sat in his parked Chevrolet Blazer at the IGA Foodliner at 10 N. Main St., about one block from the courthouse, shortly after 2 p.m. As the man waited for a friend to call, the woman tapped on his window with a bat.
