Shamokin Dam police seek suspects in home invasion

— SHAMOKIN DAM — Shamokin Dam Police continued to search today for two Vietnamese men who allegedly broke into a Spruce Street residence and tied up the occupants as they burglarized the home.

“We have points of interest,” Chief Timothy Bremigen said, describing the Thursday late afternoon break-in as an “isolated incident.”

The suspects, described as two Vietnamese men wearing ski masks and dark clothing, broke into the occupied home and placed the unidentified number of household residents in a room secured with rope as they stole cash and other valuables.

There was a threat of force, but the occupants were not physically injured, said Bremigen, who declined to provide more details.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed two Vietnamese males or any suspicious vehicles is asked to contact the Shamokin Dam Police Department at 570.743.2671.
