— SUNBURY - A Northumberland man is facing numerous charges after police said he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.
Adam Vigo, 37, of Duke Street in Northumberland, is charged with seven felonies, including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors, according to court documents.
Vigo is listed in court documents as residing on Kreamer Avenue in Sunbury, but during his preliminary arraignment this morning, he said he was kicked out of that residence and renting a room in Northumberland.
Vigo allegedly assaulted the child for four years while acting as her caretaker, according to court documents.
He faces more than 120 years in prison if convicted.
Vigo was arraigned Tuesday morning before District Justice Ben Apfelbaum and committed to the Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
