SELINSGROVE — Federal aviation investigators returned to Selinsgrove today to interview two victims of an Oct. 4 plane crash at Penn Valley Airport and witnesses.
It was the second time in a week that investigators from the National Transportation and Safety Board visited to airport to determine what caused pilot Doug Cromley, of Lewisburg, to crash a single-engine Piper Pacer on takeoff. Cromley and his passenger, Tom Cromley, of Winfield, were injured and spent time in the hospital.
Dave Hall, the airport’s director of operations, said the investigators have interviewed the Cromleys and witnesses who reported seeing the crash.
No information was relayed about the accident to airport representatives and Hall said he doesn’t expect to learn anything from investigators until a report is issued, probably in two to four months.
