Watsontown man faces trial in child sexual assault case

— MILTON — A Watsontown man accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl is headed to Northumberland County Court after waiving his preliminary hearing.

Charles A. Hollenbach, no permanent address, is charged with four felonies — aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of a child — stemming from several incidents in October, police said.

Hollenbach allegedly innapropriately touched the young girl at a home in the borough twice while he was alone with the victim, according to court documents. The girl’s family reported the alleged assaults to the authorities, police said.

Hollenbach was arrested Oct. 26 and declined to speak with police concerning the allegations, according to court documents.

Hollenbach waived his preliminary hearing in front of District Justice Richard Cashman Wednesday in Milton and is awaiting a formal arraignment in Norhtumberland County court.

Hollenbach remains in the Northumberland County Prison, Sunbury, in lieu of $100,000 bail.
