Hearing delayed for wedding guest charged in molestations

LEWISBURG — A preliminary hearing was continued Thursday for a Michigan man facing charges in Union County for allegedly sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy during a visit in Lewisburg for a wedding in September.

The hearing is now scheduled for April 4 for Christopher Bryan Robbins, 30, of Lansing, Mich., charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault of a child and two counts of criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, all felonies of the first degree.

He also is charged with indecent assault of a person younger than 13, a misdemeanor.

Robbins was arraigned in January and initially placed in the Union County Jail but was freed later on $150,000 bail.

The Lansing Police Department contacted the Buffalo Valley Regional police about the incident and sent them a copy of the police report and two computer discs with three videotaped interviews, according to an affidavit filed by Buffalo Valley officers.

Lansing police received the initial complaint Oct. 29 from the mother of the two victims. The alleged incidents occurred Sept. 2 at a hotel.
