Light fingers make off with heavy weights

WATSONTOWN — The dollar value of some stolen goods may not be as impressive as their weight.

State police at Milton are probing the theft of six car batteries, 12 suitcase weights, each weighing about 60 pounds, two 25-foot log chains, two tractor wheel weights, two lift arm hitches and a three-foot chain with six-inch rounded links.

The heavy haul was taken from the home of John Rovenolt, Milheim Road, Lewis Township, between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 1:30 p.m., Sept. 22.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Trooper Andres at state police Milton at524-2662.
