"To Do": Iron Heritage Festival

DANVILLE — The Iron Heritage Festival continues July 21. Mill Street features strolling entertainers, artisans, food, Victorian Highwheelers and more. Events include: 6:45 to 7:15 a.m., quoits tournament behind tennis courts on Danville Middle School lawn; 7:15 to 8:15 a.m., registration, Rails to Trails 5K, begins at 9 a.m. at DMS; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., out house dig behind 331 Mill St.; 9 a.m., semi-finals of the third annual Foss Tennis Tournament, DMS tennis courts; 9 a.m., Au Matin at Basilica on grounds of St. Cyril Academy; 10 a.m. to noon, stamp cancellation, outside Danville Post Office; 10 a.m., noon, 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m. DMS Big Mill Train Station train ride to Bloomsburg-Northumberland ($10); 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Montgomery House open house; 10 am. to 4 p.m., entertainment, speakers, demonstrations, Round Corner Stages at four locations along Mill Street; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., wagon and carriage rides ($3 children, $5 adults); 2 p.m., hot dog eating contest, Pappas Restaurant;  4 p.m., Danville Has Talent — amateurs performers take the stage, Canal Park Stage; and 10 p.m., Fireworks on the River.
