Minivan crashes through storefront, critically injuring Beaver Springs man

BEAVER SPRINGS — A Beaver Springs man who was shopping at the Dollar General store Friday afternoon is listed in critical condition this morning after a minivan drove through the front door of the store and struck him.

Thomas E. Kline was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville following the crash at 12:55 p.m. Friday.

State police at Selinsgrove said Mary J. Scholl, 67, of Beaver Springs, was attempting to park her car at the store along Route 522, but she did not bring her 2005 Chrysler Town and County to a stop before it crashed through the front door of the store and struck Kline, who was inside the business.

Scholl will be charged with careless driving, police said.
