HARRISBURG — Her three opponents are airing attack ads and pointing fingers, but Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie McGinty says she’s determined to accentuate the positive.
Trailing in fund raising and independent polls, McGinty said Tuesday that she launched her first TV ad in the expensive Philadelphia media market Monday and will stay on the air for the two weeks left until the May 20 primary.
McGinty’s latest ad is called “Problem Solver.” The 30-second spot focuses on her working-class roots and her experience in the federal and state governments.
In an interview, McGinty says she believes she connects with voters on issues that matter the most, including quality schools, safe neighborhoods and affordable health care.
In the primary, she will face businessman Tom Wolf, state Treasurer Rob McCord and U.S. Allyson Schwartz.
