LEWISBURG — This year’s Celebration of the Arts ends with a bang — on a drum.
Six bands will perform at venues throughout the downtown Saturday night as “Lewisburg Live!” wraps up the annual two-week arts festival.
The music festival, free and open to everyone, concludes two successful weeks for the 44th annual art show, which was blessed with gorgeous weather until the recent showers arrived.
But lucky for everyone, the rainy forecast of late won’t stop the party on Saturday. The music venues are all indoors.
And don’t fret about picking and choosing who to see. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., and bands go on at staggered times all the way to midnight.
The venues also are pretty much one after the other in the vicinity of Market Street.
Puirseil’s Irish Pub starts things off at 6 with Ed Scholl and Don Krech. They will play until 8.
Also on the schedule are Karen Nogle and Mark Tomeo from 7 to 9 at Mercado Burrito; Frank Wicher Band, 8 to 10, Brasserie Louis; Royal Benson, 9 to 11, Temperance House; Blind Chitlin Kahunas, 9 to 11, Bull Run Inn; and PA Crude, 10 to midnight, Towne Tavern.
Lewisburg Live! is sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council.
