Point Township police investigating racial vandalism

NORTHUMBERLAND – Point Township police Police are investigating racial vandalism found Tuesday in the 600 block of the Old Danville Highway.

Police said when they responded to the area at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday they found the road was spray painted with racial remarks, two swastikas, the letters KKK and two obscenities.

Josh VanKirk, acting police chief, said one of the swastikas was located at the entrance to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s, while another was in the parking lot.

He said a swastika and obscenities were spray painted on a nearby PPL electric box.

Anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious in this area is asked to call police at 473-9364 or 988-4539.
