Danville motorcyclist in critical condition following crash near Potts Grove

POTTS GROVE – A Danville man is reported in critical condition today following a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon on Route 642 in East Chillisquaque Township.

Ronald W. Booth, 63, remains at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

State police at Milton said he suffered a major injury. He was flown by medical helicopter to Geisinger.

The accident occurred 410 feet east of Jack’s Alley. Police said a car, operated by David N. Martin, 43, of Winfield, pulled out of a lane in front of Booth's motorcycle, causing the cycle to strike the left rear portion of the car.

Martin wasn’t hurt. His passengers Linda S. Martin, 41, and an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old boy, all from Winfield, escaped injury, police said.

Milton emergency medical services responded.

Police said Martin faces a traffic violation for improperly entering a roadway.
