NORTHUMBERLAND — Motorists in the Northumberland area are advised that deck repairs are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in the southbound lane of the Route 11 Barry King Bridge.
Pending favorable weather, a PennDOT bridge crew will set up traffic control starting at 7 a.m. each day. Work will take place at the south end of the bridge that carries Route 11 over the West Branch Susquehanna River between Northumberland Borough in Northumberland County and Union Township in Union County.
Traffic flow will be controlled by flaggers during these deck repairs. Motorists should plan for lengthy delays or take alternate routes those days, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation said.
