SELINSGROVE — The single-lane restriction on the green bridge over Penns Creek in Selinsgrove continued today as crews removed brackets from the old railing on the west side of the structure.
The lane restriction will continue until the work is completed today or tomorrow, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesman Rick Mason said.
Traffic is allowed to move through the project, he said, but motorist should plan extra time for their travels due to the high volume of vehicles.
More lane restrictions will occur this month as crews complete a nearly $2 million renovation that began in April and closed northbound traffic for five months until the end of August.
Mason said the contractor must still apply two coats of sealer to the bridge deck, requiring two days of lane restrictions sometime before the end of this month.
