LEWISBURG — A senior Northumberland County judge has been cited with violating a traffic sign in Wednesday’s collision with a motorcyclist.
Barry Feudale, 67, of the Coal Township area, who also is a former supervising grand jury judge in Harrisburg, struck biker Donald Stover, 61, of the Mifflinburg area, with his sport utility vehicle at about 7:20 p.m. at Dreisbach Church and Furnace roads in Buffalo Township, Union County, state police at Milton said.
Stover was flown by helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment. He initially was listed in serious condition. Geisinger officials said he was discharged Saturday.
The intersection where the accident occurred is a four-way stop. Police said Stover stopped at a stop sign on Dreisbach Church Road and then began to pull into the intersection, heading south. Feudale was driving east on Furnace Road, failed to stop at the sign and went into the intersection, police said. Feudale was not injured.
