— DANVILLE — By the end of the week, Danville School District officials expect to have penalties assigned to high school students caught drinking at a post-prom party in Rush Township, Northumberland County.

“Definitely by the end of this week, things will be worked out in the sense that students will know what consequences will be given by the school district,” high school Principal Lee Gump said. “We’re still in the investigative phase, working through, talking to students, talking to parents.”

Any consequences would apply to a student’s extracurricular activities, such as sports or clubs, Gump said.

State police at Stonington Wednesday morning released the list of 27 juveniles and adults charged with underage drinking following the party at 118 Elysburg Road in Rush Township this weekend.

Adults are Jared A. Daku, 19, of 70 Bennett Road; Matthew P. McConnell, 19, of 10 Red Oak Drive; Donie Ann Keeley, 18, of 22 Landau Road; Lauren N. Roth, 18, of 4 Erin Drive; Michael J. Vitale, 18, of 43 Alton St.; Ian J. Metzer, 18, of 142 E. Diehl Road; Cale D. Rice, 18, of 341 Jerseytown Road; Alyssa A. Shaw, 18, of 440 Elysburg Road; Michael J. McCormick, 18, of 2105 Sunny Lane, Riverside; James T. Mullen, 18, of 200 Cooper St.; Jessica T. Paugh, 18, of 107 Valley View Road; Maxwell D. Wright, 18, of 39 Alton St.; Thomas B. Juveniles were a 16-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl, seven 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl.

Citations were filed by Tpr. Mark Adams of state police at Stonington.

Police were called to the property at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Danville’s junior-senior prom was Saturday evening, and the district does not sponsor a post-prom event.

Gump did not know whether Joe and Maria Harris would be charged.
