Pilot reports cockpit smoke; Lands safely near Scranton

— AVOCA — Officials at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport say a US Airways flight made an emergency landing there after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.

The Times-Leader of Wilkes-Barre says all 13 passengers made it off the plane safely at the airport. No injuries are reported.

The plane left Philadelphia this morning and was bound for Albany, N.Y.

Emergency crews were on the scene this morning.
