20-year-old Millersburg man killed in Dauphin County crash

MILLERSBURG — A 20-year-old Millersburg man was killed early Saturday morning when his car went off Harman Road in Jackson Township, Dauphin County, and overturned.

Daniel James Confer Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dauphin County Coroner’s office.

State police at Lykens said the crash occurred at 1:25 a.m. Saturday as Confer was traveling south at a high rate of speed. Police said his 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe skidded out of control on a sharp right curve, went off the road and overturned several times in a field.

Confer, who was not wearing a safety belt, was thrown from the vehicle, police said.
