Lewisburg woman seriously injured in pedestrian accident

LEWISBURG — A 72-year-old woman was reported in serious condition Friday at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a pedestrian accident Thursday morning along 15th Street in East Buffalo Township.

Nancy Stickley, of 175 N. 15th St., was struck by a car while walking along 15th Street at 11:14 a.m., Buffalo Valley Regional Police report.

She was first taken to Evangelical Community Hospital, then transferred to Geisinger.

Police said Nancy Neuman, 76, of 190 Verna Road, Lewisburg, was driving on Industrial Boulevard. She stopped for a stop sign, then turned left to travel north of 15th Street when her car struck Stickley, police said.

Paramedics from Evangelical Community Hospital and the William Cameron Ambulance assisted police at the scene.
